Description

This dazzling showcase will ignite the stage at the historic Lyric Theater 

in downtown Brownwood, highlighting the brightest talents our community has to offer. It's more than just entertainment; it's a fundraising event with a heart. 

All proceeds go towards reaching a $25,000 goal to benefit the Bennie Houston Recreation Center.  

Bennie Houston was a tireless community leader in Brownwood. From organizing youth sports leagues in the 1940s to serving on the City Council as the first Black member, he championed sports, racial equality, and community events. He was well-respected and even named a son after another prominent Brownwood leader, Cecil Holman.
