New Matrix Search to Launch on October 10 On Tuesday morning October 10, the new interface for Matrix search will be visible to all users. It will not be the default search - they will have a button at the top of the search page to "Try New Search". This is currently available to MLS staff for review.
The landing page is "three panel" - on mobile, this is three pages and makes the search much more mobile friendly.
Once the search criteria is entered, that panel can be collapsed to view just the map and the list or gallery view.
When training, I would suggest using the gallery view and expanding that panel up over the map next to the search - it is a very appealing (IMO) view and they can always collapse the gallery to view the map.
The Matrix 11 Quick Start Guide is in the Matrix "Help" which includes the new search layout features. Also in the Help are new videos (visible only to staff, but we will turn these on for all next week):
Purge Rules to be Re-instated Our Purge policy for off market listings has been on Hold for the last couple of years due to legal requirements. The policy will be reinstated and will begin over the next couple of weeks, depending on programmer scheduling.
As a reminder, our purge policy is:
Photo Purge Policy:
EXPIRED – Six months after a property reaches this status all photos except the primary will be purged
CANCELLED - – Six months after a property reaches this status all photos except the primary will be purged
SOLD/LEASED - All photos for a SLD and LSD listings will be kept indefinitely.
Listings Purge Policy
CANCELLED and EXPIRED - Purged after 3 (three) years.
Paragon Tile on Dashboard The new Paragon tile appears only on the NTREIS dashboard and the Texoma dashboard and is NOT for our upcoming Paragon Connect system. It is simply a link to the Paris Board MLS system to allow those new members of Texoma to continue to access their historical data until we can merge into the NTREIS database. Other NTREIS subscribers will not have a login to that system.
Realist Community Inisghts Originally scheduled in May, the Community Insights update was rolled back for some further database work and just began rolling these new features out to all clients this week: Realist now offers even more micro-level community insights including median home values, home price forecast, last 2 yr home appreciation %, school district ranking, family friendly score including walkability score, and more. Rental Trends is an invaluable data resource for agents working with residential investor clients, helping them make informed rental strategy decisions. With Rental Trends, agents can provide estimated monthly rental values and cap rates.
